Ancient Egypt


Ancient Egypt was located in Africa, also one of the oldest countries in the world, also located along the Nile valley.The Ancient Egyptians developed a system of writing that was all their own hieroglyphics.This system was made of about 800 symbols(you could call them picture signs)that stood for objects or sounds.Scribes kept records of details by traveling throughout Egypt.They recorded government business.

The Red Land and the Black land


Question 1-Why did the Egyptains divide their land and name them "The Black and Red land"?
Answer 1- The Egyptains spilt the land into two groups because of their different sources. The Black land
because of the rich black soil, farmers planted crops there more then other areas. The Red land because
the desert protected them on both sides.

Egyptian Masks


Question 2- Why did the Egyptians wear mask of birds, wolfs and other animals
Answer 2-Egyptains wore masks of animals, to represent their gods and goddeses they worshiped.
Also they want to woreship them in a human form or animal form.

Dead Egyptians


Question 3- Where did the Egyptians burry there dead bodys?
Answer 3- It would matter who is the one being buried. The pharaohs were buried in a tomb he made, So he could " life his spilt" and the rest was in the dessert. The rest of the Egyptians were buried in the dessert in oval pits and other things they used such as clay

The Kings Jobs


Question 4- What are the Pharaohs jobs?
Answer 4- The pharaohs had absolute power thought-out the whole country. He also took care of governing egypt. Some of the other jobs are making taxes,laws and protecting his people from all harm, but not puting his self in harm.

Note: A Pharaoh was what Egyptians called their King in Egypt.

Question 5- What were the Egyptian temples made of, and why.

Answer 5- The temples were made out of a type of stone, called limestone.

Question 6- How many pyramids are there in ancient Egypt?

Answer 6- They are about 80-110 currently know Pyramids, but we are not sure because we are still finding them today

Question 7- What are the pyramids, made of , and how are they built?
Answer 7- It was made of a rock called limestone, and was a stacked on top of each other, one by one.

Schools


Question 8- What did the students learn in Egyptians schools?
Answer 8- The students had to know how to read and write, so they could jot down information, or be scribes.

Note: A scribe is a person who is a professional record keeper.

Jewelry


Question 9- How many people did it take to make one piece of jewelry?
Answer 9- They would have different jobs,like one person would string the beads, and the other one would tie it, and so on

Daily Life


Question 10- What was a daily Egyptians jobs and why did they have those jobs?
Answer 10- There were many different jobs, people would have, so one example would be like, for a woman she would have to sit and do house cleaning for the whole day, and make food for the family. A job for a man would be to build objects or to get food. These jobs are very important because with out every one helping and working the whole communities would go down.

Depending on what people did for a job also would matter, because then he/she would probably live in a nice big house, if they had a higher level or quality of job.
